Joshua (Volland) Burns adds hands-on pharmaceutical patient program management experience to Team Archbow. He shares a deep passion for improving the patient and HCP journey and experience with our clients.
Before joining Archbow, Joshua worked for TrialCard, supporting the largest patient support program in their portfolio, with a focus on reimbursement services, benefit verifications, prior authorizations, appeals, and formulary exceptions for Immunology and Rheumatology products. Prior to that, he worked at AccessMED/US Oncology/McKesson Specialty. Originally hired to support a new program launch as an agent, Joshua quickly identified areas for improvement, developed multiple resource guides, and outlined a streamlined, logical approach for training and onboarding. Soon, Joshua was asked to manage a program focused on Rare Bleeding Disorders. In this program, he oversaw the operations of reimbursement services, PAP, Co-Pay, Insurance Gap, and Peer Support.
Joshua lives a full life in Olathe with his husband, three dogs, three cats, and two birds. Outside of working at Archbow, Joshua is the owner and sole proprietor of a wedding officiant business and serves as the board chair for a local 501c3 that supports the underserved populations of the LGBTQ+ community in multiple states. When not working for one of the before mentioned, you can find Joshua spending time with his family, digging around in his garden, or whipping up something new in the kitchen.
