Team > Melissa Waetjen
With more than 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Melissa Waetjen helps clients maintain a big picture perspective while overseeing the details of projects.
Her passion for transforming strategy into actionable implementation plans grew during her tenure in R&D, commercial, IT, business development, and consulting roles across large and small pharma companies, biotechs, and start-ups. Today, Archbow clients benefit from her expertise in global program and project leadership, business process improvement, product launch, alliance management, and system implementation.

Over the course of her career, Melissa has developed a deep understanding of the drug development process from R&D, through commercialization, and on to loss of exclusivity. She holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP). Before joining Archbow, Melissa worked at GSK, Pfizer, Endo, and North Highland.

Melissa lives in Philadelphia with her husband, who was her high school sweetheart. They have two grown sons. When she’s not managing projects for clients, she’s overseeing a vast assortment of personal projects – from flipping houses to making jewelry to upcycling old furniture.
